Website terms

These terms apply to northandnest.io and the website account and support features made available by North & Nest LLC (“North & Nest,” “we,” or “us”). Please read them before using the services. By using the website or its support features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use those services.

1. Scope and eligibility

The company website provides company and product information without customer authentication. Product-specific support websites provide account and support services. A NestEd account applies to NestEd only. Account and support features are intended for adults who can enter into these terms. If you act on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to do so.

NestEd is in development. Descriptions, previews, and planned features may change and do not guarantee a release date, price, or particular capability. These website terms do not grant an app license, establish a paid subscription, or replace the terms that will apply to an individual app or purchase.

2. Accounts and account security

Provide accurate information when signing in or contacting us, and use only an account or sign-in method you are authorized to use. You are responsible for protecting access to your email, Google account, active sessions, and any authenticator you enroll. Sign out on shared devices and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Authenticator protection is optional for customer accounts and required for authorized support staff. If you enable it, keep access to your enrolled authenticators. Account recovery may require additional verification; an email code alone does not establish a right to remove authenticator protection.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, violations of these terms, or legal requirements. You can stop using the services at any time and contact us to request account deletion. See the Privacy policy for information handling and request procedures.

3. Acceptable use

Use the website and support services lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• Access another person’s account, private requests, or systems without permission, or attempt to do so.
• Impersonate someone, misrepresent your authority, or submit fraudulent requests.
• Transmit malware, spam, threats, unlawful material, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
• Disrupt the services, bypass access controls or rate limits, or use automation that places an unreasonable load on them.
• Include credentials or sensitive personal information unnecessary to resolve a support matter.

If you discover a security concern, email support@northandnest.io with “Security concern” in the subject. Avoid publicly sharing another person’s information or exploiting a vulnerability beyond what is needed to describe it.

4. Support requests and product feedback

Support requests are associated with the account that submits them. Use the same account when returning to your conversation. You must have permission to share the information and materials you submit.

You retain ownership of your submitted content. You give North & Nest permission to use, reproduce, and share it with personnel and service providers as needed to respond, investigate, maintain the support service, and improve our products, consistent with the Privacy policy.

We may use ideas and feedback to inform product development without a promise of compensation or confidentiality beyond our privacy commitments and any separate written agreement. Suggestions do not create a commitment to implement a feature, resolve a problem by a particular date, or deliver a particular outcome.

We aim to provide useful responses, but no response-time or resolution guarantee applies unless separately agreed in writing. This is not an emergency service. Please do not submit student records or other sensitive family information unless we have specifically arranged an appropriate way to receive it.

5. Website content and intellectual property

The website’s text, artwork, design, software, names, and other materials belong to North & Nest or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable law. You may browse the website and share links to it. These terms do not grant permission to use our trademarks, republish our materials commercially, or claim ownership of our content.

Permission expressly provided with an item, an applicable open-source license, or use permitted by law takes precedence for that item. Contact us about other uses of our content.

6. External services and information

The website may link to third-party resources or let you sign in through another provider. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control their availability or content.

Website descriptions and educational or homeschool-related information are general information, not legal, educational, financial, or other professional advice tailored to your circumstances. Check relevant official sources and seek appropriate advice when making decisions for your family.

7. Availability, warranties, and responsibility

We may update, maintain, change, or discontinue website features. Access may be interrupted, and information may contain errors or become outdated. Keep your own copies of information you need; the support portal is not a repository for your family’s educational records.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and support services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. We do not exclude any warranty, duty, or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, North & Nest is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost business opportunities arising from use of the website or support services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your non-waivable consumer rights remain in effect.

8. Changes, questions, and other provisions

We may revise these terms as the website changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice or request agreement when required by applicable law. Updated terms apply prospectively, subject to those requirements.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Our decision not to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our ability to enforce it later. These terms apply together with any additional terms expressly provided for a particular service.
